About This Reluctant Mystic

8f348-6a011571fbffc1970b011571ffb983970b-piSometimes I doubt God.

Or that there even is a God.

Am I allowed to wrestle with these things?

In a world of evolving spirituality I find myself pursuing what community and church and God mean in our world through arts, meditation, contemplation, and a whole lot of skepticism and doubt.

By walking with the Desert Fathers and Mothers, the Celtic monks, and the great mystics of many ages, I seek to blend together the intangible with the tangible. Life needs to be as meaningful in our visions and miracles as it is when we’re washing dishes. Our immaterial journeys must intersect with the rigorous actions of social justice, humour, and great love. Otherwise…what’s the point?

Currently I live and work in Lac La Biche, Alberta, Canada. I’m in the midst of completing my Mdiv through Lutheran Theological Seminary, Saskatoon.
