Let the Weak Say “I Am Strong”

Proverbs31_8
Shalom. Peace. God… we need it. This song that rings in my head tonight over and over again will not go away. Peace is hard. Peace is suffering. Peace is… everlasting.

"You are my hiding place
You always fill my heart with songs of deliverance
Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You
I will trust in You
Let the weak say "I am strong in the strength of the Lord…"
I will trust in You"

I normally don't typically care for videos that try and yank at my heart but really only want to show the bad stuff in the world. This video even has interviews with child victims of war and displacement. And when the words came up about children not needing to worry because Jesus would take care of everything, blah, blah, blah… I kind of shut off.

But then I saw the children in the backdrop of Christ on the cross. You… Jesus… chose to be as weak as they are now… as I am. You CHOSE this! Some days I want to scream at You, demanding to know why You let these things happen! Genocide… war… slavery… but they all pale in comparison to why You chose to suffer like this!

Will there be peace? Will it end?

Will it?

Make our voices heard for the voiceless. Do not let them go unheard…
