What a GREAT idea!!! Instead of spending untold amounts of dollars on slave chocolate/flowers, why not send a Valentine to a survivor that may never have received a love note… at least, not one without a price tag attached. Love146 will send our Valentines to their RoundHome in the Philippines and make sure every girl knows how genuinely loved and precious she is… no strings attached.
Valentine's Day is not only celebrated in the United States. In the Phillipines, where our Love146 Round Home is, Valentine's Day is a widely celebrated holiday. Filipinos always take time to hand out red roses or sweet things to the people they care for, it could be their loved ones, office mates, or friends.
This Valentine's Day, why not celebrate by sending a valentine to the children in our Round Home? You don't have to be an artist to send a message of encouragement, hope and love to a survivor. Get together with some friends for a craft time, get creative with the office supplies at your desk, or even create your valentine digitally!
Here's how it works:
Go here to make a donation that supports Love146's Asia Aftercare fund. You'll then recieve an email with instructions on uploading your valentine. If you've made a valentine by hand, either scan it or snap a picture so you're ready with a jpg, pdf or a URL link to provide us with. You're valentine can also be mailed to P.O. Box 8266, New Haven, CT 06530. It's that simple!
